FAQs –Everything you Want to Know About German–English Translation Services

Are your translations recognised?

Yes. Our German–English translations are done by professional language experts with current NAATI translator accreditation, and as such are recognised by most Australian authorities, as well as most overseas authorities.

Are you NAATI-certified?

Our translations are done by language professionals with NAATI translator accreditation, and certified as such by means of a certification statement and a stamp-this is what is commonly called "NAATI translation" or "NAATI-certified translation". The NAATI accreditation level of our German–English translators is "professional" (formerly called "Level 3"), which can be considered the "gold standard" of the translation industry in Australia when it comes to official purposes such as visa translations, immigration translations, etc.

Do I have to come to your office?

No. We can translate from a copy provided to us by email or post. No visit to our office is required. This is particularly useful for urgent immigration translations or visa translations.

How long does it take?

Smaller projects, such as German–English translation of personal documents, are usually done within two days. Same-day service is available on request.

How much does it cost?

The costs depend on the type of document. For personal documents as well as immigration translations and visa translations (produced by a linguist with NAATI translator accreditation), please check out the pricing page. For longer documents, please expect between $0.15 and $0.35 per word. Please contact us for a quote.

How can I pay?

You can pay for our translation service by bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal. We'll send you all payment details together with our quote.

I am overseas. Is this a problem?

No, you can simply scan your documents and email them to us. We will then provide you with a German–English translation as soon as possible – usually within two days. The translation can be used for visa applications and other legal proceedings because it is a "NAATI translation", meaning it has been created by a professional with official NAATI translator accreditation.

How is my translation delivered?

We can provide colour PDF files or originals in the mail, or both. You decide. A range of international and domestic courier options for urgent German–English translations is also available.

Do you translate other languages as well?

No, but we gladly refer you to other NAATI-accredited translators who can translate documents in the required language. Try The Migration Translators if your enquiry is about an immigration translation, or Aussie Translations for a full-service translation agency.

I need my documents today. Is this possible?

Yes, we offer a same-day service. It's best to call us so that we can get things started as soon as possible.
